About the Discussion Forum

While anyone is welcome to post and participate, Freeman Michaels facilitates the Forum according to the principles of his practice, Service to Self. Freeman is the author of Weight Release: A Liberating Journey. He holds a Masters Degree in Spiritual Psychology from The University of Santa Monica.

The Wintention Concept
Wintention is based on Freeman Michaels’ Service to Self Process featured in his book Weight Release: A Liberating Journey. The Service to Self Process is a general personal growth program that is especially effective in releasing weight. However, the Service to Self Process can be applied to myriad issues besides weight (see additional groups you can join in the lower left hand part of this page). The key to the process involves being intentional – choosing consciously what kind of life you want to experience. We encourage all members to post, we suggest that you comment and possibly even contact those with similar intentions and experiences. Form partnerships and build a community of support for the life you want. Gently hold one another accountable for staying in alignment with what it is that each person says that they want. When a member is acknowledged to have had a significant experience relating to their intention after sharing it in the Forum, they will be recognized as having had a "Win" -- because celebrating success is a major part of the process (see the 12 Keys in the Notes). Another important aspect of the Wintention process is journaling-- so we have made this site a living interactive journal to share ideas and connect with partners for mutual support.

I read releasing weight (have read it through about 4x) while on the treadmill.  Then I finish my workout with pilates, yoga or weights with more energy and it is more enjoyable.  I get a really peaceful and energizing workout.

Okay, week three was tough.. To be honest, i am not finished with the homework.. I find myself going back to Freeman's questions regarding last week's post..

Food Plan for September 5-11

My goal is to get up between 5 & 5:30am and I'd like to eat within an hour of waking. I really don't have time in the morning to cook or sit and have anything substantial until I get to work. So what would normally be breakfast & am snack are switched. I'm not sure about the amounts of food - it looks like a lot to me, but we'll see how it goes.
